Description
The Galette des Rois (King’s cake) is a traditional french dessert served on Epiphany day (6th of January) to celebrate the arrival of the Three Kings to the manger where Jesus was born. The Galette des Rois is a simple cake made with puff pastry and frangipane cream. Inside the cake is hidden a non-edible little charm (called la fève), if you find it in your slice of galette, you become the King or Queen of the day and can wear the paper crown.
Instructions: reheat the galette in a hot oven (160 degrees) for 10 to 15 minutes. The yougnest person should go under the table and call each name one by one to be served in this specific order. Enjoy !
